He was born on March 14, 1970, into the Deo family—an esteemed household in the heart of Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State. His father, Elder Christopher Deo, was a respected school principal and community leader, while his mother, Deaconess Grace Deo, was a devoted teacher and a woman of deep faith and moral strength. From a young age, John was nurtured with strong values rooted in humility, hard work, and service to others. As a child, John Deo displayed rare qualities of leadership, always willing to lend a helping hand and speak for the voiceless.
