IKOEDEM EKONG:
A LEGACY OF SERVICE

For three decades, His motto has been consistent, “leadership is not about dominance, it's about service”, which he has shown by devoting his life to building bridges between people, organizations, and communities. When you see Mr. Ekong, you see peace, and that is what He has lived for. One Role, One field at a time.

BIRTH AND EARLY LIFE:

Mr. Ikoedem Efanga Ekong was born on the 1st of July, 1967 into the family of Hon. Efanga Ekong in Upenekang, Ibeno Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. As the adage goes, “Train up a child in the way He should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” That’s what we can see in the life of Mr. Ekong. From a very young age, he was raised with values rooted in humility, hard work, and service to humanity as were the ways of his parents. This made him become that child always willing to offer help and strength to those that needed it.

He became a keen eyed problem solver. Where others saw problems, he saw opportunities, solutions, and possibilities, which is one of the most important qualities of conflict resolution. From primary school, and even to university days, every role of leadership was marked by a passion for peace and not a way to show power.

He has grown into a Conflict Resolution & Peacebuilding Leader, committed to fostering understanding across every place of divide. Today, if you’re looking for a symbol of servant leadership, Mr. Ekong is that person. He was born ready to transform lives, mediate conflicts, and help make the future of communities and even nations more peaceful and united.

EDUCATION:

Mr. Ikoedem Ekong began his educational journey at Primary School Ediba, Obubra LGA, Cross River State, where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate. With deep interest in human resource and administrative management, he pursued and successfully obtained a Diploma in Personnel Management from the prestigious University of Uyo, where he later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Public Administration, equipping him with the necessary skills and knowledge for his future career in governance and administration.

My core goal is to prevent and manage community unrest and disagreement through proactive dialogue.
